Fuel Lines

Hey guys,

I am replacing the original tanks (rusted out) on my truck and I am stumped as to what to do for the fuel lines. I am stuck between running stainless/aluminum tubing (comes in a roll) from the tanks to the pump or stainless steel braided hose from tanks to pump. I'm looking for some suggestions as to which is better.

Thanks,

B rye

Myself, I would not run hose, as even with the braiding, it will still deteriorate. As kind of a guideline, NHRA does not allow any more than 12" of consecutive rubber line. I realize that stainless is stronger, but I have seen plenty pinhole over time. The whole hose doesn't have to blow out, just one little spot. It is more troublesome to run pipe, but it is much better in the end.

As much steel line as possible.
You have to think about keeping fuel ..as cool as possible.
