When you play with coils on an IFS Ford, you have to take alignment into account. It may or may not work. I can't picture it in my head, but it's very possible you'll end up with some negative camber.

Yeah the inside of your tires are going to wear. I think to play with the camber you have to get ball joint sleeves or some nonsense, or just flat out bend the i beam.

I think the newer 4x2 Knuckles have the camber adjusters. They just slip into the knuckle. I think that's how alignment shops align the IFS Fords.

As far as bending the beams, that's best left to a professional. I'd rather just go DJM.

My 1994 didn't have any camber adjustments so I'm not sure how new it would need to be. Didn't they stop using Twin I Beam in 1996?

As far as camber adjusters, I don't know, because when it comes to 4x2 IFS on the newer trucks, I suck. I do know the 95 D44 TTB has them. They press pretty tight into the knuckle/beam, so maybe you overlooked them? I don't think there's any other way to align them. I'll do some searching in a few.

I just took a look-see, and got sick of seeing a bunch of crap. I thought about it, and there's really no way to adjust camber on an IFS suspension without having the camber adjusters. I know for sure they had them on 4x2 trucks in 85.

Generally, they look like this.

Napa sells some adjustable ones that can adjust camber up to 4 degrees or so. I think they have to do some digging to find them though.

I think Advance has factory style adjusters, but you have to know exactly which ones you need, because they have all different types of degrees.

Yep Advance does have them that is why I started looking at springs and got me lost on which set of camber adjusters I would need.

I have a general knowledge with the 4x4 stuff, and I think it carries over to the 4x2 stuff. I think your best bet Cliff would be to talk with an alignment shop and find one that has experience with 82-96 IFS Fords. Either way, if you can't adjust the alignment yourself, or at least get it close enough to where you can drive it, after you do the drop springs you'll have to have it towed to the alignment shop.
