What all is needed to do 'the swap'? (92 + front end)

-Fenders
-grill
-headlights
-hood

Any internal pieces?

IIRC, you'll also need the radiator support, cowl panel, and you'll have to add a wire for the bottom turn signal or whatever the hell the third light is for. On the 92-96, the bottom of the fender by the cab bolts to a tab that sticks down from the cab. The 1980-1991 cab/fenders don't have this tab. I don't remember if you can bend this tab on the fender up or make a special bracket.

I'll probably think of more later.

90 to 92 uses the same cowl, just fenders, rad support and the like to swap. Pretty much firewall forward...

Keep it real, if you wanted a gen. 9 you should of bought one.

Why, when you can make the truck newer without all the complicated electronics it's a win win, besides I can't blame him for wanting to get rid of that ugly brick of a front clip, ugliest of the 80-97s IMHO...

Or, what you do is combine all three to have the best of everything...

Something like this...

Thanks, now I don't have to type all of that out!

The 87-91 looks good on some trucks depending how they're setup but I like the Gen 9 fronts as well..........just because you can get more aftermarket for it.

well like i said. its so close its hard for me to say... but 78-79 is much better than 73-77 and that brings my overall liking of the 6th gens down... so that allows the 9th gens to beat em...

but on Austins idea.... dont do it... the F-Superduty is a rare truck... dont ruin it by doing a clip swap...

^^^There's that word 'rare' again. Was a time, those were all you'd see at a government/school building. Not many things are rare in the truck world, and it's not like changing the front clip will impact the value pf the truck any.

I could possibly sell you all the parts you need Austin. Just gotta see what happens to the truck first.
