As far as I know, the only truck that can't have a midship tank is a short cab short bed 4x4... That configuration did not have a 2-tank option from the factory presumably because the midship tank conflicted with the transfer case.

The other thing to consider is that youll either need to chop a new hole in the side of your truck or wrap the bed for one with 2 filler doors.

smiliewhathesaidsmilieIagree You will have the same amount of gas in 1 tank instead of 2 tank. Keep a can of fix a flat in your cab.

Might be,but I find it more rare here to see a truck with a single tank. And I think my truck was built in Norfolk VA

yeah... the only truck that i've seen thats single tank 2wd.. is the 88 we had... and i didnt realize it for months till one day i filled up the tank and told ann im gonna put some in the other tank and she made me realize there wasnt another...

Mine was a single tank when I bought it.I thought the bed had been switched but everything is there for a side tank but the tank is missing. Do I plan to replace it no. A bronco 33 gallon tank will work ok for me and let me run my exhaust the way I want it.

If you are going to being putting a 30 gallon tank in and only plan a few trips where you may need a little extra how about a gas can or two secured in the bed in case you need a few extra gallons. 30+ gallons should be fine for normal driving.
