Back on subject, I love the torque that the 360 in my current DD has.
('74 F-250 2wd, 360, stock 2bbl carb., 4spd.)
Last month, I hauled a load of gravel with my truck that weighed in at 3,172lbs.
According to the scale at the gravel pit.

Funny part is that, even though it had my suspension half an inch from "bottomed out", the engine had no problems moving the extra weight!

I love FE engines, I have one ready to go into a 63 Thunderbird in my garage, and we are rebuilding 2 of them in my auto shop class (both from 60s Mercurys).
