Exhaust stacks

First of all...I was a super hero. Secondly, austin is ghey. Lastly, stacks are uber ghey. Saw an early 2000's chubby with dual stacks at 5" a piece a couple days ago. Stacks are worse than lambo doors these days. You don't drive a big rig, so ditch the stacks. And if you have a gasser and stacks, go fall off the monkey bars.

'Nuff said.

Here's some stacks (with optional train horns) on a Ranger...

This is rediculous....wheels, stacks, and the horns....man....

And yes, this thread is funny, been laughing the whole way through the read. You gheys are too much!

He wants to really make sure mud and rocks don't fly into traffic behind him. I can appreciate someone who is cautious.

Hmmm...didn't notice the dual flaps. My question is...how are the ones on the bumper anchored?????? My money is on magnets.

Only on a diesel pickup though IMO. Think about how many pull. You've got a NICE 12k enclosed racecar trailer...you want that tailpipe caking soot on that pretty white? Noooooo, so you stack it and bring em up a lil higher than normal to help it disperse before it hits it. Or a guy pullin a hay trailer, heard about one catching his load on fire cause he had a tailpipe.......throw stacks on it, the heat is going somewhere else and not concentrated on the load. The USFS would rather you have stacks, diesel push out HOT fumes, sit idle for any amount of time, something is gonna get burned...

Couldn't the heat be combated with a heat shield? As for the discoloration...collateral damage...or carry around a rattle can of white.

Goose, that's a little much width wise. :D

It could be combated with a heatshield...assuming that the majority of the heat is from the exhaust system itself and not the tailpipe or turndown. You have a nice 13k dollar enclosed trailer and you're gonna rattle can it? I doubt that. Brad, those stacks are ostentatious....to say the least.

I know we've got a few of these pics scattered around other threads, so I figured it was time they got their own thread. I'd prefer to keep this limited to pics that were taken by you or someone you know, but I'm sure some of your fawkers will end up posting random internet pictures here. If you're one of those people, I hope you get your wiener stuck in your zipper and they have to amputate it. :flipoff2:

edit: In an attempt to keep the retards with ADD from getting quite so butthurt, I'll move the definition of "rice" to this post, instead of it being buried farther down. As everyone should already know, rice is when useless **** is bolted, welded, glued, etc to a vehicle for no other reason than the fact that the owner thinks it looks cool. For example, huge wings on civics = rice, stacks on a street truck = rice, modded engine making more HP/torque = not rice, engine that was "modded" by adding lots of chrome = rice. You mouth breathers following along yet?

To start us out, this isn't nearly the worst I've seen in town, only the most recent. Skinny white boy pimping stacks that would make any 18 wheeler owner proud.

I couldn't get a good pic of the trail of black smoke he left for hundreds of feet behind him when he left the red light. :shaking:

I think it is funny that within 8 posts Austin, gay, and pipes were mentioned before even getting to anyone answering the thread subject.

Too bad I couldn't have gotten a video, the stack was shaking all over the place due to lack of good support... The pic doesn't really show it, but it stuck way off the side.

On the other side of the coin, I have seen some that looked good, but very few. If the pipes are proportional to the size of the truck and the expected motor, and done tastefully, they can look good. It is the same as wheels, keep them looking like they belong, and it looks good, but so many go for the biggest thing they can get away with and think it looks good, instead of realizing how stupid it really looks...
