Core support question

I read somewhere.maybe on another site.ButI have a 79 and I want to put a 76-77 grill on it.I read somewhere I could use the 79 core support and drill new holes.Will this work or not?Has anyone tried it?Thanks

Yes, it will work, and it is basically simple. Put the two next to each other and you will see the minor difference.

I forgot to say that the holes I need to drill in the core support is for the headlight brackets
