Cooling problem... Odd issue

ok guys on the way into work this morning i noticed my temp gauge going up and up and up.... well i let off the gas cause traffic had slowed down and almost as soon as i did the temp dropped as well... got back in the throttle, temp starting going back up... and it wouldnt dropped till i slowed down...

did this on the way home too...

any ideas?

just started this morning..

Check the coolant level to see if its low could be an air pocket in the system. Might also replace the thermostat just to be safe.

What about the water pump not flowing at higher rpms.

I would check to see if coolant is circulating, possible air pocket, and waterpump. If those are all ok then it might be a headgasket.
