Will it hurt to remove the line from the gas tank to the charcoal canister and plug it?

Is there suppose to be 2 caps on the canister? I can't seem to find it.

Dennis would be the guy to hit up about that - he's most likely got a drawing somewhere.

Thanks Dennis the hose and line are still there. and the drawing really helped confirm it now all I need is to find out if there was 2 caps on the canister.

I'm looking for the proper illustration right now but it should have one large hose and one small hose and one cap.

Large hose runs from Air Cleaner assembly to can

Small hose from can to fuel tank

Capped nipple not used in your application

Thanks Dennis. It looks like a hose runs from the canister to the air breather.

I'm wondering why you want to remove it, Cliff. I believe that's where your gas tank vents.

I guess if you can get a vented cap for that truck it will be ok.

Steve now that I know how it runs it will stay.

It's just vapor emissions, not really a big deal to keep. Usually keeps it from smelling gassy around the truck as well... All it does is keep the gasoline vapors trapped there until the next time you fire it up.
