anybody else not seeing anything here?
Hahaha sweet anyhow this is what it is supposed to be
My carb is still running semi okay at the moment I guess, It is starting to diesel and some other problems. I am thinking of either getting it rebuilt or putting a new carb/manifold system on the truck.
What route would you guys take?
If your engine is dieseling wouldn't that be a timing or overheating issue?
Well yes, and that's one thing I am looking at. But I have had a couple (five) shops take a look at it and they all just say rebuild. I am going to have it timed/tuned by a Carb mechanic I know, in exchange for some general labor. But I am looking at it and thinking I might wanna throw in a new carb for the hell of it, as I have some extra money laying around at the moment in my fund for the restore of this truck...so I guess more suggestions of what carbs to use if I decided to put a new carb on it
The Pros and Cons about Holley's and Eddies is.
The Eddie is pretty much a bolt on and go very little tuning is needed.
Holley's have to be tuned but you can tune the Holley to perfectly match your driving style and engine..
With a Eddie you don't have to much control of when your secondary's kick in on a Holley you do![]()
So it really depends on what you want and how you drive.
If your like Cliff and drive like a 90 year old blue hair then a Eddie is what you want![]()
Okay, The thing I have always heard is...Edelbrock is easier to tune but Holley is a better carb. is 600 about the right size for a 302?
And when it comes to the engine I am not afraid of keeping it original such as the rest of the truck...:-D So power is lovely to me at least

Yes a 600 is good for a stock 302 and you might beable to get by with a 500cfm for more fuel economy
