mount it on the hood like an old school land rover!

Anyone know if using my current fuel pump with a longer pickup tube (maybe from a bronco) will work?

When somebody crashed into the truck in sig a long time ago, it needed a new fender, and my dad had them put a fender for the 87-88 shortbed dual fuel tanks because he planned to get one off an 88 to put on his (didnt have it in 89). That never happened, so now he has a useless door... :p

Get the old with all needed parts Pump ,sender and all straps . Even if tank is bad u will save big timne over buying the skid plate sender and pump. You will need a 92 -96 tank as the opening for pump hole is different . LMC has what years fit.

Its easy swap just have not got around to it yet . 500 mile rad right now be nice to make it a 2 week with out having to go to town to fill up.

So Larry an 8th gen tank wont work for my truck?

I can't use his pump because I've heard the 8th gen pump is different. Somethin about being a low pressure pump or somethin

I believe the whole in top tank is different.( I thought it was later ) But the the 90 up sender/pump will work .Any straps /skid plat will work from 80-96 . All info is from parts catolog(for all thats worth.). I found out the hard way . Bought a 90 up tank to put in a 89 . So I put it in a 92.

If his is newer 90 ish your good to go. Your pump will work . But doulbe check to save$ .
