brake?

a little while ago the brakes on my 94 f150 started acting funny. When I push the pedal down, it would act like it started to grab, then it would go another inch then grab. Is this the master cylinder?

So the feeling in your pedal starts with the drum brakes grabbing in the back, and then after they have made contact with the drum, you'll feel the brake pads grab on the front calipers. How many miles since you've done your drum brakes? Any squeaking?

Check the "sliders" for the pads. Possibility that the pads are binding before they apply.

I bought the truck about 3,000 miles ago. I have not done any brake work yet. Yes there is squeaking.
