brake lights are flickering

So when I hit bumps I notice my brake lights flicker in my 85 flareside. The issue is that it kills the cruise. Which sucks. It's pretty.much always done it and I've just lived with it but now I want to fix it. I only realized it was the brake lights doing it because after drivingIin the dark I noticed the break like controller flashes error when I hit a bump. The same thing it flashes when you press the brake with no trailer on.

Does anyone have any idea at all where to actually start? I was thinking brake switch but that doesn't seem Super likely. It seems to work good normally. Possibly a grounding out wire somewhere? But where?

It will be related to the brake switch no doubt. It wouldn't surprise me if it was bad. It can be loose and still work .
