stop being stubborn and do the leak-down test!!!

its sensless replaceing the valve seals if your not POSSITIVE its them... one thing ive learned whole working at the shop, diag as much as possible before just throwing parts at it!, saves a lot of hastle

allright im gonna chek how to do it properly becuase i dont have the tool and stuff to make it but im gonna chek if its possible..

hey!! i havent tought about this but what if its a bad brake booster.. becuase when i start it in the garage it does not smoke when i start driving press the brake and stuff it smokes!! im gonna chek the lines if they are wet!! and standing and idle if i press the brake if the rpm will move.. im gonna chek that!! back with results later!!

Heres the pics man.


So to change them with out taking the heads off... You remove the rockers. Then you get that valve spring compressor tool and make sure the piston is at top dead center.
Then use the tool to compress the valve spring so you can remove the 2 valve spring keepers. These lock the valve spring onto valve. You have to compress the valve about 1/2" todo so. The valve keepers can be a bit tricky to remove but using a pick or hitting them lighty with a flat head can set them free.

Then once there free remove the spring and you will have access to the valve seals. These just pull off with a set of pliers. And install is the reverse.


You can see here how I am (was lol, ill finish it evenchually) changing my valve seals. The blue ones are the new ones. Black ones are the old.

This is one of the 2 keepers that each valve spring has. Dont loose them, there pritty easy to loose.

The brake booster thoery, well i dont know where you camr up with that lol... but if oil somehe was being pumped through the booster hose, BOTH tailpiped would be smoking.. i only saw smoke on your passenger side

a friend told me his mazda was doing that.. but that i began thinking.. hmm mazda rx7 NOTHING in common with F150..


yupp truck is still on the operating table.. waiting for the leakdown test..
