Looks like this thing is coming along nicely.

Thanks Ben. I'm making pretty good progress for it being a DD. (The gas mileage so far is something of 10-11mpg, if I do my math right)

It actually looks like I do have some water intrusion in the rear of the cab. My educated guess it that it is coming in from under the rain gutter and into the semi-open part of the cab sides in the rear, then getting abosorbed by the liner back there.

There are a couple of holes in the floor, one one either side of the cab, that I suspect are there to 'solve' the water issue. I plan on checking the gutters and perhaps doing some work on them before paint. Then I can seal the cab up again!

I've already pulled the liner out with plans on replacing it with something better. Maybe storage, maybe audio. Who knows?!

Got a new radio last night. I'm going to pull the door panels today to see if the speakers will work and I plan to completely re-wire everything. (It is a mess right now)

Pics when I start!

I have the WalMart brand of speakers. :headbang:

They work! I like the fact that I don't have to worry about them getting damaged by water or anything like that. Just buy a new set!

Yeah the problem with mine is the door panel covers most of the speakers so that means I have to cut the door panel and I don't want to cause they are in nice shape.:headbang::headbang:

I think I will try to find some that are a little beat up to cut up or replace the doors.

huh? thats why the door panel is there to hide the speakers.. and by cutting the door panel its not really gonna help sound quality.. thats why you just build a custom box to fit behind the seat to hold speakers and subs.....

It does when most of the speaker is covered by plastic and no holes it is muffled. No box behind the seat that is even worse since my seat is all the way back and 6'4". Besides I don't like my butt to vibrate.
