Got some freebies today! Different style turn signal housings (HD/Lightning, I think), a K&N intake w/ lifetime filter, and a Grillcraft mesh grill.

Turn signals before:

After: (I believe the Harley's have matching reflective strips on the headlamps, I might look into that)

Intake (everything needs a good cleaning... I need to find a recharge kit for the filter)

Can't have scratches and swirls if I'm parading with company info on the truck! Started the fun task of wet sanding today.

Thanks!

Here's a little update on the wet sanding... trial and error is the game with clear coats. It seems the clear on this truck is exceptionally hard, not a bad thing but not the best. Just takes longer to work with it.

Finally got the paint to lay down just right and buffed out a test spot.

I played around with some chemical and pad combinations, now I'm here....

Thanks fellas! After all that work I had an itch to go cover the truck in dirt, so I did!

I'll say one thing, these steps are useless when the truck is muddy or wet. I might throw some bedliner on the plastic.

You know Ryan, I enjoy the looks and performance of the truck, but there's one fatal flaw - the seats. They're an untreated leather, which means that if the wrong liquid gets spilled, if you rub them the wrong way, if oil or dirt gets on them, they're essentially ruined. If properly kept up, my monthly leather conditioning bill would run $20! That's something (luckily) that Ford & King Ranch addressed on your generation truck.

Other than that I just have a few picky things. The rear seats don't allow much cargo room when folded (they sit almost level with the center console when folded), etc..

But the heated seats and sunroof make up a few points!!

I agree kiwi.. Thats why I get my son to do it for me.. He likes taking his time cleaning his vehicles..lol
