88'460 EFI-NEED Info

I just bought a motorhome with an EFI 460,1988. Runs GOOOOD! However, it barely passed idle HC. 289 with 300 allowable. When it idles it acts like a stuck choke,idle slows and gets rough. I'm basicly EFI challenged,I THINK it's a mass air system. I dont know how to pull codes or anything. Can someone help a dinosaur out??

being an 88 and a 460 it wont be a Mass Air Flow system..

check for vacuum leaks and probably wouldnt hurt to give it a tune up!!

If its acting like its choked it may be the coolant temp sensor...they send a signal to the ECM about coolant temp and leans or richens the mix based on temp...basically does what a choke did (kinda).
