You have made some nice progress.

Bed liner over Peel N Seal Huh? I've have never heard of doing that.

Thanks Buck...once the new trans is I'm and the tcase is resealed, the rest will fall off the priority list until Red is on the road again.

And yes...bed liner over PnS. Doesn't seem like a popular option, actually reverse what most guys do...I even hesitate. But I have found some guys that have actually done it that say the bed liner sticks just fine...no long term results yet...but I guess I'll see.

The only thing I could see other than the liner not sticking with the PnS would be trapping any moisture under the PnS if there are some cracks in the liner. I think moisture getting under the PnS would rot out the floor pretty bad. That's where I would think I'd want some liner over the metal first to protect the metal from moisture and then the PnS and then liner over that. More work and more money and I don't know how the PnS would stick to liner. Just a thought, but I'd be very curious to see how the liner works with the PnS.

Brakes have been upgraded to the 350 stuff. At least it stops now, still underwhelmed, but better than no brakes. Engine was re-sealed/gasketed...but I either spit a rear intake seal or the the rear main is toast. I've accumulated several good tilt columns, so that should eliminate any steering play on that front. Also picked up a new steering box, which should be the majority of the slop. Front axle seal has been replaced and that stopped a leak...not really sure what caused it to leak in the first place, it had been replaced 2.5-3 years ago. C6 is still garbage, and getting worse every time I use it...but now I kinda just want to see how long it'll go. I have to 2 other C6's in waiting. The interior has been stripped of carpet, but seems to have some form of truck parts occupying any of the areas I'd be working on.

She recently got a 3g upgrade, loving that so far. Beyond a gummed up carb and small electrical issue, that have both been resolved, and a bad trans...she's running like a champ.

I don't even use the valley seals on the intake anymore... Had too many of them leak. Just give it a big bead of high torque gray silicone and forget the gaskets next time.

Glad it's coming together.

I've done it both ways...but I always put a nice amount of RTV black on the seals anyway. Never had an issue until I spit the front seal last year, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is just the rear intake seal that got spit out.

A lot of guys don't even use the front or rear intake seals, just RTV. I'm waiting for the day Ben when you decide to do a full body restoration for the Bronc :)

Well here's the dilemma, once I knock out the trans...everything in the drivetrain/chassis will have been touched at least once since I've owned it. The body has been relatively abused and neglected since I've owned it. My fear is, if I make it too pretty, it'll just sit like Red...and then what am I gonna use as my beater. So my thought it, keep this one ugly, but functional...and just buy a better platform Bronco to start with. To be honest, you can buy a helluva Bronco in the 4-5k range.

When I replaced the heads on my previous dent(79), I couldn't keep the seals from "squishing" out, so I also went with RTV front and back.

Ya, I hear ya. It is nice to have something that is mechanically sound that you can use and abuse and not worry about scratches and dents.
