I have a 352 sittin in my garage too along with a blown up 428 I also have a 351M and another buick v6 for my jeep. I had the 352 in my truck when I was buildin my 390 and it was a good strong motor even pushin 35s. If I was you tex Id throw a four speed behind it and plop er in there. It would have plenty of power for a half ton. Might have to beef up the springs a bit though.
Also the you could punch out the 352 to a 390 and get a 390 crank and put it in.

I called the guy the other day and he said the was locked up, told me he'd give it to me for 100 bucks.
I told him give me 40 bucks and i'll drag it to the dumpster for him, he didn't like that at all and hung up on me...

I would say i'll take it man, but the more I started looking in to the M engines the more I see they are to much trouble then they might be worth, no body makes any good after market parts, the only thing summite has for them is Alts and spark plugs.

A 390 will bolt up to a c-6 that uses the right bell housing pattern. That is the key, finding a tranny with the right pattern.
The C6 was introduced in 1966. It was standard equipment with the 428 engine (also introduced in 1966), optional on 390's in 1966/67.

After 1967, it was the ONLY A/T installed behind FE engines on 1968/71 passenger cars (390/428), 1968/76 F100/350's (360/390).

Finding an FE C6 combo won't be all that difficult, as millions were used.

The FE flexplate used on 1965/71 cars (except 428's), 1965/76 trucks is the SAME whether the vehicle has the old Cruise-O-Matic, or a C6.
