I've never paid close enough attention to take note but after the shift kit, at WOT, I think I can get up to around 20-30mph before I hit 2nd. Give or take a few mph.

mine shifts into 2nd at 40 mph. and when i say it shifts hard i mean it slams into gear. i can be sitting all the way back in the seat and when it shifts my back comes 2 or 3 inches off the seat.

I start in 2nd.

I think he's askin' about automatics.

*I've seriously never, ever actually floored the skinny pedal from a stop and held it there all the way through first gear in an auto. That said, if memory serves correctly, most Ford slushboxes seem to grab second somewhere between 15-25 mph, depending on how hard you're rodding on 'er.

Thats what its sounds like to me. It shouldnt shift that hard. Id take it out and put it back to stock if ya dont like how hard it shifts.

All right I guess my imagination got away with me... Just did a calculation and I'd only be turning 2800rpm at 25mph which is nothing. If I wind out my truck to 4000-5000rpm (which I've done a few times) in first gear then according to my calculations that should put me up right around 40mph @ 4500rpm.

Depending on how your gears and tires are set up, Chris, it's quite possible that you could hit 40 in first gear.

Not WOT, but if I'm somewhat hard on the go-pedal my truck shifts around 23 mph.

It all depends on how much fuel I give it, if it's full throttle or not.

Don't forget that he looks great in his gf's red pumps.

For the record...in all of mine, at WOT I shift at 35mph +/- 3mph. If I'm driving normally, it's right around 25mph.
