oh ok. thats actually gonna be my first true mod unless i convince my dad to let me have his MAF off of his truck that he blew the motor in. right now he's saying no but i think if i throw out 200 dollars it'll change his mind.

Mine isn't that much slower believe it or not. The difference is mine craps out at 50.

I never paid attention to the speed, but mine shifts at around 5200rpm at WOT. Of course, that's an old school c-6.

I once had a '74 Cougar XR 7 that would get rubber in second, close to 50.

Thats what its sounds like to me. It shouldnt shift that hard. Id take it out and put it back to stock if ya dont like how hard it shifts.
