ok, so the plan is to replace the back pump and keep using the front (and back) until the front goes out. so i need a pump for the back.i'm pretty convinced it's the pump in back b/c i replaced the back tank about a year ago and didn't replace the pump. the back one worked fine for a few...
The part that makes me nervous is that the whine is new. It comes and goes a day at a time. When it does whine, sometimes it's solid for 10 minutes, sometimes off and on wihin a minute. It seems to have no effect on the engine cutting out though.Fuel filter is a few months old.I'm taking...
So getting down on what to order for the rear tank, it looks like I've got a few choicesfrom the link above (here) and this search on summit racing, I'm looking at a pump somewhere between $41 and $184.I've had the rear tank down before, and none of the ones from Summit look familiar to me...
Yea, I don't plan on messing with it. Tomorrow I'm going to call this cheap shop and see what they'll charge for labor to replace the back one. Assumin they're a good deal, I'll set a date and order the parts from rock auto.
That's pretty much my plan. I'll replace the rear first, assumin that someday I'll replace the front. From my link above, do I need the rear pump and sending unit, or just the pump. The only thing I know about the back tank is that the truck doesn't run on it.
It just makes me nervous, especially since we travel a lot in it. I'd feel a lot better about it too if at least the back tank worked. But, the whine just started a couple of weeks ago and seems to be getting louder. The other issue I'm having, that's also been getting worse lately, is that...
Hey guys, long time no type. I think my last post was July-ish. My problem first, then the hello's.First off, I haven't been on since July b/c the truck has been running great. About all I've done is changed the oil, driven a lot, and changed the plugs & wires. My front fuel pump is...
i'm headed out to the tractor pull now. i'll post some pics up tonight or tomorrow.95° feels like 100° - 41% humidity. lovely. i go half for the trucks/tractors and half for the people watching
i just got my first (nice) cap. for me, i fill up the bed of my truck pretty often, but in the last year or two i can think of 3-4 times that a cap would be a problem (mulch, moving big stuff, etc). i'd much rather have it covered for the 50x i was throwing luggage and other crap back there...
i'm real happy with the 40/20/40 buckets i have - had them in 2 trucksyou should be able to find a set from the junkyard from a bronco/150/250/etcmine have seat covers on them, but you get the ideahaving that 3rd seat there when i need it is really nice
loved my ranger, but you're right - the 4.0 4x4 supercab was a gas hog. getting 13/19 and being tight on room with my wife, i, and the dog on a trip just wasn't worth it. my 1993f150 with the 300-6 gets about the same mileage with a lot more room.that said - the smallness is nice when it...
welcome to the sitei'm sure someone will be along shortly that has more knowledge of your truck to help.if you want to go the after market route, that's fine, but on the 92-96 trucks it's pretty common to just swap the stock cluster out for one that has a tach. if yours can do that, have...
i haven't owned anything this old, but my comparing my 97 f250 to my 93 f150, they rode about the same. i think the longer wheelbase on the 250 smoothed it out a little bit.
if both your temp and oil gauges are messed up, it could be something with the entire cluster. in the 90s F-series, if either the voltage or ground is messed up, the whole cluster can be off. all of my gauges are off a little bit and i'm thinking I have 1 common problem instead of 4 (fuel...
I'll double check tonight, but I'm pretty sure they bolt to the frame. does anyone that has these know for sure? i have not had them on my truck, just bought them along with another deal
i'm trying to sell some running boards that fit on a 92-96 and am wondering what other years are compatiblea guy with an 82(ish) said he found out they won't fit in his 250for a pic, see here
looks pretty sweet - welcome to the sitewhat's the deal with the fabrication in the bed? looks cool, but why not just go flat all across the bed rails? seems easier :)
from what i've read in the above links....i'm thinking it's a snugtop. just don't know how else to find out. are there model/serial numbers on them anywhere?the guy i bought it from took it off of his 95 f150 and i'm pretty sure he is the original owner of both.the only indication i have...
i wouldn't seriosuly spend that, but someone seriously could.looks like they nickel and dime you $100 at a time, then the sweet basket thing is $450. IF i bought anything, it'd be off craigslist, but that looks like it's still ~$200. i just like to look at their site to see what's available...
