What part of TX are you from?

I don't think I was really calling for a vote but offering you all the opportunity to have a voice in your chapter.

Storm has been a member of this site for a good time now and we wouldn't run him off for being away for a few weeks. I even offered to contact him if it was needed.

I do apologize if I came off the wrong way. I was only offering the Texas chapter an option if the members thought it wasn't being taken care of properly.

i don't think the option should have been brought up until the existing leader was talked to or proven too out of contact. i've said that several times. since it's up to the admin apparently whether we vote or not then rather than presenting it to the group first why not take the steps and then present it so it doesn't feel just wrong to talk about voting someone out without their knowing?

i don't think y'all're attacking HIM. i've said that too. i think there are requirements being put on the POSITION that are unreasonable considering the situation since voting someone else in was even mentioned and those expectations are going to make it hard to keep anyone as leader and the chapter will simply die.

i did say i don't think we need to vote on a new leader in my first very short just kinda annoyed post and i never saw anyone give a reason that made any sense as to why we would want a new leader other than being AFK so i refuted it because it's two weeks not 6 months. i wouldn't want to be voted out for being gone a couple weeks if it were me so i can't imagine anyone else would either. i also can't imagine anyone else jumping for the position knowing that they could simply be voted out for being gone a couple weeks which is what it was coming down to.

yeah so just the mention of it annoys me, feels a little dirty, so i said something just like you were concerned the members weren't being taken care of so you said something. i'm glad you were concerned i just think that a couple things needed to be done before throwing something that big out there as an option.

now i'm done saying something. i'm not the majority, just one person who thinks it wouldn't be right REGARDLESS OF WHO'S JOB IT IS. i won't vote for a new leader because i don't think there's anything not getting done.

Sorry guess my sarcasm didn't carry well, I was talking more in reference that I hadn't seen him around the board in a while, his last post was on 10-17. I have no problem with Storm being C/L, but like Connie said the chapter is still to small to require a full time 24/7 "babysitter".

If when we get some new members and he's still MIA, than ya we'd probably need to to put it to a vote. Until then I think a phone call would be sufficient.






One thing about it all this controversy has got the Chapter moving again.

alright, i am kinda puzzled by this....

From what i have seen, and have read.
Storm is chapter leader and hasnt been here in awhile.

Person1. comes in and says that if yall want a new chapter leader than it can be done....

Connie thinks that is a horrible idea and is a "slap in the face" against storm.

Then it goes back and forth from there....

Here is my opinion.

I think that If storm hasn't been around in awhile, that is fine, being that there are only what 5 of us? Not a whole lot to being doin right now anyways...
But why do we need a chapter leader to go out and welcome people to the tx chapter or go and let people from texas know about the website?

Why do we need a chapter leader to set up a get together?

There are what 3 of us from lubbock?
Heck we could have our own FTF get together here in lubbock, being as we are the majority of the state.
This site has alot of growing to do and so does this chapter, the site may flourish but the texas chapter may not do it on its own.
I dont think we should rely on our chapter leader to do all of these things... Being as there are 5 or 6 or how ever many of us we should ALL be doing what we can to help the chapter grow, yes we all have personal lives, we cant always be here. When one person isnt here for awhile then we should all step up and cover for that person.

Instead of arguing over storm being here and voting for a new CL why dont we focus that energy into improving the texas chapter and help the texas chapter grow. Were all adults here. lets work TOGETHER to make this site a better place.



One last thing, i may have offended some of you, which was not my intention.
Connie you are one of the people i am thinking might find this post offensive, but that was not my intention, i am not trying to degrade you or anybody else.
Please dont take it as that.

also, why cant we elect a "temp" CL until storm has been contacted, and can return to his duties?
Not that we really even need one, but just curious if it would be possible, and if it would be anything people are interested in?

There was a near mint 86 GT for sell at this fly by night auto dealer 30k Original miles 5 speed cherry bomb red 2300 I saw the add in the paper drove there to buy it and the sales men said there was a guy waiting at the doors when they opened with cash in hand had been on the lot less then 2 days.
Its hard to find deals in Lubbock every one thinks their garbage is Mana from god.
