A new member of the family. I went and bought a 1988 F150 with a 300/6 and
a speed.I thought it would have had a 5 Speed but looks like some one changed the trans.

Glad to see you back in a Ford truck, Cliff. And like you said, some paint, and she'll look real good.

Thanks Ben
It's the quietest 6 I have ever heard and with EFI it should get decent mileage. But a upgrade back to a 5 speed OD might be a bad idea too.

Very nice truck!!

Thanks, I have been having fun driving it today.

So, it's a 4 speed with a 5 speed knob? Great lookin truck........

Thanks, Yeah it's a 4 speed with a 5 speed knob. Now all I have to figure out how to get it off and put a different knob on it or I might change the shifter later.

Cool thread. :)
Well, except for the car picture... cars, ick... you're grossing me out! :/

Anyway, what 4-speed transmission could it be and have a hydraulic
clutch both tho?

Butthead in AZ
ps- Nothing wrong with a car that taking the body off-it can't fix. ;)
...turn it into a dune buggy or hot rod or scrap it, IMsorryassedO.

It does have a hydraulic clutch. BTW Cordoba's are few and far between, and I like it.

Because they were junk when new. :) Chrysler had transmission problems when they came out and they knew it, yet kept shipping them out and making the dealers follow stupid repair procedures that didn't work and made them appear ignorant to the customers.

BTW- My dad was a chrysler dealer. :) And yes, they were a good looking car too. :)

Mine isn't still got the original engine and trans. But It has been converted over to electronic ignition from the junk Lean Burn system. But the Holley 570 Street Avenger helps it out too.
