So it Begins F350 Camper Special Rebuild

Big Jim F150

73-79 Ford Trucks Rock
That would be a nice truck to see after you get it done, keep up the good work, remember that it takes time, and patience to get it the way you want it, even after they're done, you'll find lots of little things that need to be done. I'm finding that on my 78 F150 Ranger Lariat, even though it had been done, I'm still finding lots of little things here and there, that's what makes em so much fun.

Thanks for the photo I need that will drill holes today.

welcome :)

the lights are usually spaced either 12" on center, starting from the center of the roof, or the three middle lights spaced 6" each way off center and the outer lights at 24" from center line. The hole size is 1" and the 2 little holes are an 1/8"

Welding Repairs To A Plastic Gas Tank

My plastic gas tank had a crack in it about 2" long right in the bottom corner like something struck it from the road. After looking around and seeing that replacement or used F350 camper special tanks don't exist and being a steel welder I checked out plastic welding watching several youtube videos. I purchased this plastic welder http://www.harborfreight.com/plastic-welding-kit-with-air-motor-and-temperature-adjustment-96712.html from Harbor Freight. They did not have the correct welding plastic rod for a gas tank so I used an old plastic oil bottle that engine oil comes in because it is made from the same type plastic. Someone had "V" out the crack before me and used some kind of glue which did not work. Took me a while to scarp off all the old glue but lucky it did no adhere to the tank at all. I layered in several passes and was able to fill the crack and made a successful leak proof weld. I may put on a couple more layers just for good luck.
