haha, yea its loud on that much throttle continuously. about 1/4 tank i only live about a few minutes away so it aint that bad, got to have fun thats a must
ill check it out i need some ideas, in the cab smashing on the gas i can definitely hear it, its loud! lol. true on that. it was fun, put a driver operated locker in the rear and thats close enough
Just a lil video of my 92 F150 flare side having fun in the snow climbing some hills, snow was melting the day before then later on snowed all night. my buddy in his 95 chevy 7" lift broke a tie rod attempting the same hill after me.heres the link, still dont know how to post a nice lil...
@jbashaw i know what youre talking about i was just thinking about doing that too intead of true duals. my drivers side is very narrow and much more easier to that way youre implying
yea it actually sounds better in person i noticed that when listening to it with headphones on the computer. im considering putting magnaflows or some other kind of sound absorbing muffler on them. and yea the pipes will be tucked up much better if i dump them at the bed sides, this was just a...
i like that setup. right in front the rear tires, ill probably go with magnaflows or thrush mufflers. i already have one of those 89$ thrush polished mufflers, got it for free showing a bud how to work his front end of his chevy. do you got a pic of the exhaust closest to the engine?
lol and yea the way it looks right under the cab, i dont smell no fumes, even at idling. even when they were open headers no pipes i didnt smell too much fumes either just loud as hell
thanks all, negative or positive comeback. well its just a CONCEPT thought of how i was in to sound. its all fitted pipe and no welded. plus theyre longtube headers and stoop lower than stock exhaust location. and wont fit over the transmission crossover unless you do some good modding.
check out my video, my 1992 351w flareside 11" of lift, 35" toyo mts, i forget how to put my pics and videos up so im doing it my easy way lol i was just playing with my exhaust pipes trying to figure out a way to do my duals the way i want...
haha fn pics i cant upload them right. but what else i did to the truck was tint all around put the old original rims on new front grill rockford fosgate sound system sound deadening flooring and roof inside was blacked out and a very much tune up done to it, i got it from an retired spec ops...
i recently got a "new" flareside about two months ago. 5.0 v8 e4od 4x4. 175xxx soon to replace with a 351. and paint job. and better smaller tires and larger rims
yeah i hear ya on that one. i dont really want the stick on ones, seems to easy for someone to steal. with the flare beds "booming" out more than reg style beds. my rear tires clear 12.5's but the fronts, just barely. going to get 1 inch or more flares just for the front i guess.
i was wondering if after market rear fender flares for a 1992 ford f150 straight bed would fit properly for a flare bed? dont know exactly what brand no cut outs for sure. 1-1/2 to 2" extension
i would suggest a magnaflow. it was extremely quiet on start up after installation. sound stock but felt some new found power, nbut not a whole bunch. it broke in to a nice rumble after a water hose went inside it
yeah that crossed my mind, 2wd with a AIR locker in the rear would do it just nice. probably have better luck finding a 4wd though. dont know the 2wd-4wd ration made for flares. but always could do a swap even though i wouldnt even want to
man i had to google that one. in my flare i was doing hella lot better than 12mpg with 36" SSR's and 9" of lift.... as of today 35" toyoz and 11" of lift, idk. getting super swamper radials this weekend so ima see how those go. might get some for my street truck when i find her if them tires do good
20 years, well its all about credentials and you got it. the 300 6, i never had or drove one.... i think i just might manual trans, the only thing ima haul in that truck is me a passenger and a toneua cover
