Well my new idea is to Make one that mounts just above the Rear view mirror on top or get a headliner that has one molded in! Would look sweet I will make one out of MDF and Glass it and paint it pretty Most likely i will make one because i work in a Shop and am a programmer for a CNC LoL
I was thinking more of making a separate box out of MDF and fiberglassing it and mounting it to the underside of the dash ....That is cool tho..a good option.

ya it is all top side and bottom molding...Paint is coming after that but i dont' wanna destroy the trim trying to get it off! I figured most is clipped in...but the bolts visable or hidden under the rubber in the trim??

I've done a 6" lift on my old Gmc(shh i know :P ) but i just had to do the Brake lines, dropped pitman and everything else "worked" Oh and i dropped my Swaybar. but otherwise...nothing however its steering was seriously hurt by the lift...Radius of turning turned into tank mode...
Hey What becomes a pain or needs to be replaced when doing these lifts on a 4" or 6"(will decide what i will do by the amount of replacing>)I know at 6" Dropped Pitman arm....and Brake lines usually but is there more to fords at 77-79 age that need to be changed when doing a lift??? Other...
haha I live in Vernon B.C Canada...so probably a ways.. I have the front clip and motor/tranny still on the truck. I will see what i can do for some measurements tho. Frame looks good other than usual Rust.
and i know the switch is in the right place because it only starts in park or neutral and that the stupid switch lights up the rear backups in 2 places a bit..UNLESS i somehow mixed up some wires that it is in a 2 position giving power? maybe i have the backups hooked to the neutral safety...
