Been working on my front end. getting it more solid and better. Cross over steering working good, brand new pro comp shocks, pro comp steering stabilizer. it drives a whole crap ton better. Ive been messing with mounting my divorced np205.
My bed measures out around 5ft long. with the tailgate down i have plenty space. i an still haul 2 dirt bikes or a dirt bike and a quad no problem. Before i converted and i had the long bed, i stuffed 2 quads, a 250cc dirt bike and a 50cc dirt bike in the bed with the tailgate shut!
yeah. I bought the 76 crew cab short bed truck. it was a factory highboy. dana 60s and a divorced np205. the bed was shot, the front end was smashed up, the rear axle was taken apart and the frame was rusty.so i salvaged the dana 60 front, the cab the divorced np205 and some other parts and...
frame is a 78 f150 2wd std cab. crew cab body swapped on. dana 60s front and rear, cut down 8ft bed to somewhere around 4ft. its a pretty one off custom. i built it all and its not even close to done. still needs a t-case installed and new drivelines.
to be honest everything has been pretty simple. i did the cab and bed swap in 2 days. Day 1 i had everything unbolted and removed. then day two installed the crew cab, made mounts. I cut the bed and slapped it on. i had plenty of help from friends that made it easier. when i swap running gear i...
Thanks, the truck is really fun to drive. i like having the extra space. bed is not that bad at all. its small but functional. Im in the process of getting tires and wheels, and then i can start swapping the dana 60 axles over.Im going to paint it myself. its going to be a wheeling rig for...
the donor truck with the cab, has no title, nor paper work. have gone thru to many owners and last known owner was in about 94' when the tags expired last.so trying to track the paper work and file for a lost title where i live sucks. so it was easier to swap cabs and running gear. plus it...
just assembled. not done yet. Its a crew cab body, set on a f-150 frame, shortened bed.Next plans are install dana 60 front, dana 70 rear, divorced t-case, 35" toyo Mud terrains, 17" wheels. finish paint and body, probably go with a camo theme. Its going to be a 4wheeling machine. Later i want...
so using the wiring harness from a 79 WITH AC, and putting it into a 76 WITHOUT AC shouldn't be anything difficult then? I only see a problem with the heater as having the blower motor located under the hood. but its only 1 wire so thats not to hard to rewire.I plan to take the 79 wiring...
I Have a couple questions about the wiring in a 76 and the wiring in a 79.Basically I am taking a 1976 crew cab body, and installing it onto my 79' long bed frame. That in turn will have a bobbed and shortened short bed. the 79' is a factory AC truck, and the 76 is Non AC.the dash wiring and...
i painted my headliner black with ace hardware rust stop gloss black. took half a can to soak in, but its been painted for months and looks just as good as it did the day i painted it.
