I think i got a little shift happy while i was out boggin awhile ago and i have a feelin i messed up my 3rd gear synchro...

It hard to shift into 3rd with out grinding....

Speaking on trannys does any one know how to replace a c6 with a AOD

Why? the C6 is like 10 times stronger.

Yes they are the same but the AOD is a tad longer then the c6 and I would love to upgrade to one.

I dont believe the C6 changed very much over the years-- it should mate up to your 79 no problem.

If you can find one on eBay or craigslist for cheap, then it'd probably be a better route
