As far as I know with my title and conversations with the PO, it's this way.

Yes...that's true. It's either XLT or Lariat, not both.
1977 F250 Ranger, with some XLT stuffs.
1979 Bronco Custom...and boy is it custom.
Cool thanks guys.....so now the question is, how can I tell which is which. My guess is it's the XLT.
Post the 3 digit Body Code Info ??4 and show me a photo of the interior
Not to confuse you Ken, but there is an XLT Lariat trim option, but it didn't come until 1982. Ford dropped the Ranger trim levels so it could use the Ranger name on the small truck when they brought it out in 83, so the Custom became the non name basic trim, the Ranger became the XL, the Ranger XLT became XLT, and Ranger Lariat became XLT Lariat. XLT Lariat lasted all the way until 1991. Then it saw an absence from 1992 to at least 1996.
Dennis, I can relate. My build sheet and vin number will always say Custom, but that's not what the emblems and new radio bezel say. My truck is a good example of what Ben said about vehicles being changed. The only thing left on my truck that is still of the Custom trim is the tailgate, but only because it doesn't have the tailgate panel yet.
Just for giggles..My 78 is now a Custom Ranger ExplorerXLT Lariat
Dennis, does your truck have the super-rare behind-seat storage area?
