Yellow Wire with Alligator Clip

There was so much jerry rigging going on with the electricals. First the dash lights were some add on lights drilled through the top of each gauge. I replace that plastic. There is this yellow wire that has a clip on it. It goes through the firewall and all the way back to the gas tank where it was twisted together. The wire it was twisted to runs to the top of the gas tank. I believe, since the fuel gauge isn't working, that it was just rigged to work. For a temporary fix (reconnecting clip) where does the clip connect? I can't read the fuse box. The lettering has faded or worn away. I hope to fix it correctly once I have a diagram to see where it goes.

Honestly i would rather leave that unhooked... If its jerry rigged its likely poorly protected. Wire gets worn, get a few fumes from the gas tank and a spark, and well we all know what that means...

KABOOM!

I would rather take the time to run a new wire the right way...

I would have to agree with Don. Sounds like a bad idea to do. Since we live in the same state I'd prefer not to have another old Ford truck blow up next to me going down the highway

The AMMETER is a separate item.

Check the other sending units for good ground.
Oil SU might have too much teflon tape on it or the tiny orifice might have some engine gunk plugging it up.

Check each circuit with a Test Light for a pulsing flash like this.

See the fuse chart above. It states the colour code for the fuse
