won't start :/

so i set my timing and the truck was idling good. i was tightening the dizzy down and the truck just shut off. it didn't diesel or sputter. t just stopped. now it won't start.

fresh battery, alt, voltage regulator.

was tuned up completely in july/ august and carb rebuilt.

it hasn't ever done that. idk what is wrong with it.

As was said, gotta confirm fuel and spark first. Go from there.

Try attaching a wire from the battery + post to the + terminal of the coil

Don't leave it like past 30 seconds.
If it ran then you may have an ignition switch or resistance wire issue.

If not, grab a multi meter....
There are may tests coming if needed.

Might be....lots of times things have been butchered by previous owners.

he replaced the coil and module and solenoid so hopefully all that is still good.

If it shut off while tightening the dist, I'd bring the #1 piston up to TDC and pop the lid on the dist to see if its pointed at the correct place.
It's a quick check to make sure the dist, didn't spin when you weren't looking.

tiing is still on so thats not it. i did try to get spark out of the coil while cranking the engine still didn't get any. going to try the battery terminal to the coil and see what happens
