Those posi locks are decent I have used them a few times for temp fixes that have been temp for a few years and they seem to work well. I normally like solder and shrink tube.

Wow I've never seen those! (just looked 'em up). Thanks for the tip Aaron, I'm gonna give those a try. I assume this is what you're talking about?

Not saying there better that heat shrink.. But they do work pretty well.

Ok, I have 12 wires to crimp and 10 crimps of each size. Would it be alright to use 2 bigger crimps or should I pick up another pack?

If the wires too small strip it longer and then fold the bare end in half then twist it together and put it in the connector I do it all the time and have never had a problem.

1. When it says not used for this vehicle should I connect them (even though they are not used) or not connect them.
2. How would I connect one of these:

To a standard wire

3. You just crimp these on right?

4. Is Bus power Battery power?

1. Dont worry about then.

2. Crimp.

3. Looks good so far.

4. More info pls..

Regarding #3 they came on the wire, I didn't put those on.
#4 In the clarion install manual it sates that the yellow wire is Bus Power and the red wire as power Lead. In the install doctor it states that yellow is +12 Battery and red as +12 ignition.

Get a test light and see which ones always hot and which ones keyed power.

Red is for sure hot, and I'm guessing as with all the other wires (As I've confirmed) it hooks into the corresponding colors. The yellow and red wires in question are the ones that hook directly to the radio, not the ones that hook into the vehicle harness.

Ok now I see for that radio its backwards so yellow is always hot and red is keyed power. Usually its the other way around. As far as the wires from the truck go the bigger of the two will be the hot (this is why I have a test light).
