Wiper control knob

I removed the dash to do some cleaning, and I lost the metal peice that fits behind the plastic wiper control knob. If I was to purchase a new knob from DC, would it come with the metal part from behind? Link Here

I'm going to call and check it out... Is the metal part designed to be part of the knob?

Pretty sure it's a tab on the knob...which is why I'm confused as to how you lost it? Did you break it off upon removal?

When it was removed, it parted with the knob...

It was age. They both came off with ease...
