wiper blades

What do people like? I'm only interested in winter-friendly blades (those that won't ice up), as I refuse to switch seasonally.

Running a set of Bosch Ikon's on one truck right now...they're OK, I guess, for the price, but I'd rather try something different.

I'm a cheap sunnovagun, but I'm willing to pay a few bucks for good blades if they'll last.

I use the Trico NeoForm beam blades...they are not "winter" blades, but I have had zero issues with them in winter...and it gets crappy here. They last well...not cheap though.

The Ikons are the same type as those...how long do you find they last? The Ikon's still wipe OK (without streaks, anyway) after 15 months, but the ends of the blade seem to lift off the glass more easily than they used to, like the blade is less springy than it used be.

I do like Trico, though... I ran a set of their Teflon winter blades on my '97 from January 2005 'til about March of 2010. And they weren't new when I put 'em on there. (I did say I'm a cheap SOB, right?)

5 years???..hmmm...  I've had them on the 750 and 350 for probably 2 years now and they are working fine.

I ran the Rain-x monobeams on the wife's car until I got mad and traded the POS off... They were coming into their third winter. Haven't been impressed by the Icons, the end caps come off too easy... The Duralast version seem to be ok as well, can't speak of longevity as they only came out last fall...

Shall we take bets on how many more months I'll think "Gee these blades are getting bad" every time I drive through precipitation before I actually pull out my wallet and get new ones?

The trouble so far has been that they're not that bad when it isn't raining...

The Duralast monobeams didn't make it a year on my mom's car before they started to disintegrate. They also worked great when it wasn't raining... ;)

Every replacement set of wiper blades I've put on this truck I have now, start to tear apart at the top before they start wiping bad.....It's the first vehicle I've ever had do that....

Advance Auto had the Neoforms on sale when I went in yesterday- $10 off if you bought two.

$24.xx for the pair seems a decent price.

Let us know how they do... I'm ready to shell out some $$ for wiper blades... I've been running the $6/pair WalMart specials for a while now and they've streaked since about a month after I put them on. And they ice up way too easily and then they're worthless...
