I have an exhaust appointment for next Monday to put in the new cherry bomb extreme mufflers and tips, but this is also my chance to get my cats rewelded in once I gut them. Heres my plan guys, the guy whos doing the work has done alot of work for me in the past, so I know he wont say anything when he sees that the cats are gutted, but my problem is this, I need to gut them before the appointment, and reclamp them back in so I can drive down there. My question is, do you guys know of some sort of coupling that i can reclamp back over the pipe that i cut to get the cats out of the system? It would be extremely temporary, but i want them to be installed so he will weld them without having to technically put them in, which sort of puts him on the line...

Check out 95F350XL's pics...if he's got em on here...he did a plate to plate bolt up from the straight pipes to his mufflers...(I think) but same basic principle....Luck

You just need a like a coupler. Like go to autozone and get it in the size of your pipe. Like 2.5 ID/ID so it will slip in on both sides. If you go to custom fab you can see how I did my long tubes and the h pipe for it. Thats what JR was talking about.
