what to do with all that potential

I have a '77 f-150 300ci in-line 4.9/6cyl 3spd man. with 1600,00 original miles. Its been put on blocks from nov.-apr. every year since it was new so its basically in showroom condition inside and out with the exception of normal wear and tear on the engine. I've gotten tired of fighting with the re-built single bbl webers and thought I'd go 4bbl to release some of the potential of the big six. I'm looking for advice as to what my best approach might be...I've looked into this quite a bit but would like some input from folks with more knowledge about modifications than I am...which would put pretty much the rest of the planet into that category. Any advice on induction and exhaust would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everybody

You will need a new intake (Clifford, or Offenhauser) or an adapter. Since the 1bbl intake doesn't flow the best to begin with, a 2 bbl would probably be too much carb for it, let alone a 4 bbl.

Just get a quality carb, and get it tuned right. Unless you are going to do a full performance build, a 4 bbl is unnecessary in my opinion.
