What should I do.

Two part question. I have a GT or sport stearing wheel not sure what its really called. Anyway the wheel was rusted up a little, so I wet sanded it with 320 and it came out ok. The plan was to prime and colour match it with my dash. Should I paint the wheel or keep it as it is.

After.
Second how hard is it to get the Custome badge off plus the glue off a woodgrain glove box door. I would like to get a Ranger Badge instead.

I say bring the steering wheel down to 1500 grit and polish it...unless you're going for that brushed look. As for the badge, most of the time, I get them to peel up relatively easily with a flat blade. If you have a little more patience, you pry up one end and work some fishing line under it and work it off. As for the glue, I usually just use some WD40 and very very carefully use a razor scraper.

^What Ben said^

I like the brushed look, so I'd keep it as is.

Wow seven weeks since my last post. Thats what happens when tyhe monitor goes down, plus spending as much time camping and not as much at home. Anyway I ended up painting the wheel. Had some paint matching issues, but it turned ok. I'll get a pic posted asap. Just thought I should post.

Here it is after 5 coats of paint. not sure if I want to clear coat it. The reason I painted it was because the rust was really into it. To get all of it out I would have had to sand it down to a polished look wich I don't like. If the wheel was in good shape I would have left it alone. The centre cap has a small broken piece around one of the fake bolts, and the clear plastic centre was almost broke off. Even the blue Ford emblem in the middle had white spots over it so I took it all apart and painted everything and super glued it all back together.
