what model is it? explorer,xlt,etc?

I'm 100% sure since I just put the emblems on my truck and had to cut the pins off. The XLT part had two pins to hold it on. Hypothetically, going by what you said even if the XLT emblem had 3 pins you would still be missing the holes for it to say Ranger which, if I remember correctly, had like 4 or 5 pins. The XLT emblems had 2 pins. I bought two sets thinking something was different until I realized somebody drilled the holes wrong on the bed on one side. I think that side was repaired for rust at some point.

i meant xlt only nt xlt ranger and what about camper special and or trailer spec? so ig u guys think its a custom? i really have no idea, i think custom is the stripped down model though??

Camper special emblems only went on the fender, afaik. There wasn't an XLT only model. Only Ranger XLT from anything I ever saw. Custom meant you can order anything stripped down or loaded or anywhere in between from what I've read here.

On 78/79 The Explorer emblem with 3 pins was mounted below the Indent at rear of box under Marker light

The F250 Ranger XLT emblem was mounted on the cowl just in front of the door on either side

ok looks like ive got a custom. doubt its ranger. custom has 3 pins bt the pins line up different than the explorer,right? cuz thats what im needing. wht would be the correct hood ornment, the one thats red with lions or wht? thanks

ok all thats left or my hood orn is the bottom chrome piece where ornament goes thru.. the hole thru it whre ornament goes thru is circular(round) so u could get a custom/explorer? maybe mines suppsed to have custom emblems and a explorer hood orn? does any1 have a custom 2 know what the bed emblems are like? also how many pins does a camper special have? id say too many.....5?

I have no idea, where do i find this number? the interior was stolen when i bought it, ive since got all the parts but anyways the only origianl piece i saw was the piece that goes into dash where u turn the air conditoning on. It is black and wood grain. the glove box door is painted poorly on frnt bt the rear of it is the maroon/burgundy color as the truck and correction the hole for ornamnt is square, sorry

the door panels were originally marroon burgundy color with the chrome plated plastic strips on the edges
