I'm going with other. I suffered with the same issue a few times, but the hands down winner every time is Ford blue on the block. If you choose to do accessories or bolt ons a different color, that's cool, but the block has to be Ford blue.

Id go with either Old Ford Blue or Dark Ford Blue. Whwn we did the 302 in the 85 we did just Ford Blue and its way too light. If I remember right the 410 is Old Ford Blue.

thats different. im talking bout on a truck. the tones of red and blue that would be on my truck just wont go together.

im leaning towards black to break up the Red a bit and also to hide the dirt/oil in the future.

What if you went with an electric blue...kinda like the anodized blue that Duplicolor has? If you don't want blue, you don't want blue...and that's fine. I just think it's odd to look under the hood and not see blue. You'd be surprised at how well it actually does come together. I mean hell, the Bronco is Brown and I went with Ford blue as you guys suggested, and it really pops. It becomes the focal point instead of getting lost in the engine bay. If you go black (you won't go back...hehe) I think the only thing you'll see are the accessories. No offense to Jurg, but all I see are a couple accessories, can't make out the engine at all.

I personally don't like blocks painted black, cause later down the road you can't spot oil as easy.

I'm gonna paint the 300 Dark Ford blue w/ black air cleaner and maybe pushrod cover.Half the parts on my 300 were originally blue, but sprayed black at the factory.Ford had a hard time choosing colors too.lol.

I vote for Silver(matches the bottom stripe)and then electric current red for the accessories.

id say go black since its the undercarriage, or red would be cool since the red is broken up by all the black hoses and lines already in the engine area.

As Shaun pointed out...are leaks something you really want to hide? Hiding them so it still looks cosmetically pretty also means hiding them when you're trying to track them down.

Honestly, you could probably just go for a similar red.Nobody is really gonna care whether or not it exactly matches the outside of the truck.9th gens aren't exactly show pieces yet.Now a 6th gen,is a different story.Same for the 1st-5th gens. The 7th gens haven't even really reached collector status.
