Well If u read the last couple posts people had about steering problems u know I had a tight spot in mine.

I put her up on stands and started digging . The ti rods were OK Hey they may last awhile but with new tires on way They r getting replaced. I had them from a past project New anyway.

Took a bar to ball joints and checked u-joints. Seemed OK but When I popped the tie rods could tell the u-jiont were toast as was pass ball joints Both of which r supposed to have 30000 on them go figure.

Took part and pulled axles. 4 Hours later 4 ball joints 2 u-joints 2 axle seals .Both rotors turned and repacked new pads. . I went to slide axle in driver side . U know it the axle seal at diff was seeping . So out it came both replaced The u-joint on stub was nice(will bite me I know it) 2 more hours and couple bottles synthetic lube. Still not together forgot new axle seals:headbang: for spindle.

So other than new coils and new rad arm bushings. Both of which were on shelf. Its new up front.

Parts about $500 for all if I bought all at once. But I have no payment and didn't have to touch it last year. Its still money in bank. Did I replace stuff not really needed. Yes But with driving 1 or hours at times I don't want a failure at 5 am on a nice 0 degree day and 3 feet snow. Besides it was apart and easy to do.

On another point I bought a cheap $90 12 ton press . well it paid for itself today.

No I completely forgot to take pictures. The diff is in . But if u need axle install or rotor hub info . I'll take some on reassembly I know little late.

Sometimes it takes going through everything. Glad you got it taken care of. I figured the problem was the loose nut behind the wheel. ;)

Least you have the satisfaction that all that is new and won't need to be replaced for a lil while......and that you should no longer let Tony (the loose nut) drive your truck anymore.....

strangely mine seems fine again.. oddly after i washed my truck and banged around on the exhaust trying to seal up the seam..

i had gone through some mud a few weeks back, im wondering if some got lodged some where...

cars = a nesesary EVIL

and oddly confusing sometimes

.

I agree with you . But when axles r pulled for u joints and ball joints its way easier to fix Other stuff then .Than have to take apart for inspection in 3 months .:wavey: I hate doing things 3 times. I can drive 1000 miles a week at times to be let down with repairs.

Well got on road last night . Working to many hours to add more at night. All I can say is other than needing alignment . Its a new truck nice and tight . No wander , Was well worth the money. No one thing was really bad it was just 150000 miles of tired.
