well my truck is in the shop

noticed a real bad grinding/vibration this morning goin to work. and i decided to leave early and take it to the shop and let them look at it. at first i thought it was the rear end like whoever rebuilt it didnt get the ring and pinion in right. but then driving it to the shop it started to feel like the transmission. but im not sure. they'll give me a call in a lil bit to let me know.

ouch that sucks, not very often a trans will grind like that. But it is possible... Keep us updated.

i will. ive been rough on the tranny though so i can understand if its ****ed. plus its got 230k on the tranny and motor so the tranny is probably getting ready to let go anyways.

the pads are good. rotors are bad. i already knew that but thats not the problem i found this ad for a remaned tranny just incase.

accelerating. mostly between 2nd and 3rd gears.

if you have an aode your looking at 2k plus. for a new tranny, in and out from a shop.

Mines a year old and it grinds from 1st to 2nd and slipped from the day i got it, spent about 2 weeks at shop getting "fixed" they sent out for a new tranny it slipped to and i was moving. got my warranty, but said shop and rebuilder are now out of business. So im screwed. C6 anybody?

if i buy the one in the craigslist ad i posted a few posts ago and take it down there they said they would put it in for between 3-400 dollars. so id get out with a pretty much new tranny for 750 dollars or so.

Don'y you have a E4OD? I'm prety sure that the AODE is an electronic AOD and the E4OD is an eelectronic C6 with over drive. I'd swap in a C6 for that engine swap of yours.

i just posted a thread asking about it. and the engine swap is on hold for a while now.

well the tranny shop says nothing is wrong in the tranny or rear end. they say it feels like a wheel weight may have gotten thrown off. but the tire shop where i got my tires said it would be tomorrow before they got it in.

hell my spare wont hold air. i havent messed with it since i first found out it wont hold air. i got roadside assistance on the tires so ****. ill just call someone up and have them help me out... lol jk. i really need a good spare.
