Weird starter noise

A little late to jump in on this, but it sounds like the starter is going, but I've never heard one make a noise like that, that I can remember anyway. Good to see you back on.

I have a similar issue but I am not positive it is the starter. I have a 1997 Ford F150. It starts no problem at all, then for about 2 to 3 seconds after it starts it makes a wierd noise that goes away until the next time you start it. The niose bnever lasts more then 3 seconds and happens everytime I start it.

I bought a stethoscope and it sounds like it is coming from the drive belt tensioner. Any ideas on how to fix it?

I remember i had the same problem on the blue 77 i had when i first got my licence after about a week the starter locked solid. I plan on getting a mini torque starter for "the tank"
