Im in the same boat, cant get rid of anything, if I do its a loss lol. This is what I think, do what you want caus its your truck, people told me no on the decals(SKAN) and by GOD they look awesome. You see it in your head how you like it, and do it that way, caus you will never be happy with it unless you do it your way.

thats basically what im doing. except i cant decide between a cowl hood or no cowl hood. and 1 or 2 flags. im leaning towards 1 flag. and a cowl. but im not sure.

Theres two different silves, theres a darker one and lighter one.

I believe i have the lighter one,
Fords color identification is
Silver Frost poly

From there you can add some different colors in to get different shades.

Good luck.
It will be nice but you talking a couple grand.

Alright I'm gonna be the negative nancy here but...you're trying to be different, but you're going with silver. How many frickin silver vehicles are out there, almost as many as black. The flag(s) are going to be tacky at best and could in essence cause some sort of retribution and damage your vehicle. I put that on the same level as Mexicans who put Mexican flags on their rides. You live in America, recognize that flag. If you want to make a tribute to your heritage, go to battle re-enactment or wear a t-shirt. And having a cowl hood and not needing one is pretty ghey.

That said, as previously stated, it's your truck, do what you want. I'd just go in a completely different direction.

Pretty much summed it up.

im still wanting to go black. but im giving the charcoal a good thought.

Black repaints are over done too. If you want to be different, why not go with your stock color and add from there. You, yourself, said there are very very few trucks in that color out there. I guess I'm just a little lost on the direction you want to go.

well what im talking bout is silver with the bottom stripe being black.

and yeah i know. but i love the silver and black combo.

dam..... maybe my stock electric currant red with no silver stripe and a ghost flag on the hood in the red. be easier wouldnt have to repaint doorjambs and under the hood.

Alright well now we're at least differentiating ourselves from the pack. Usually, before I go into anything, I have a plan and vision and why I want to go that direction while still being tasteful. Because it's alot cheaper to add something later, than 3 years from now realizing you don't want the flag anymore and needing a repaint. Who knows, you may get it without the flag and fall in love with it. If not, you can always add the flag later.

I had a 350 that had factory black with a gold stripe at the bottom...I did like that combo.

A hat, sticker or front plate would do the same thing and be a lot cheaper and less gaudy.

Agreed... I wouldn't put a rebel flag paint job on my truck.

I like the rebel flag (have a small one, big one, and a license plate in my room), and wear a rebel flag belt buckle, but wouldn't want somebody messing with my truck over it.. just ain't worth it.

They might not bother it where you live...but what happens when you need to go to *the wrong side of town* for something? :guns:

Just my opinion...
