Can anyone point me in the direction of any nice ford racing valve covers that will fit our trucks? Or any kind of valve cover in matter of fact? Thanks

Any 302/351 valve cover will fit. You just have to make sure the holes are in the right spot so you can hook ur pcv and breather lines up. Im using my old stang valve covers. Im a get some chrome ones that say Ford Motorsports at my swap meet for like 30 bucks. There on my stang. If you can see them. Mine are dirty as of right now lol.

I second what Ryan said...any "tall" VC's will need a phenolic spacer to for the intake to clear...their about 60 bucks and are sposed to give you more torque....get the ones with the rectangular ports not the round ones.

So if someone was to put a 302 HO intake on a 351 Lower plenum, then what would he have to do? The spacer still?

I have the stock 302 HO manifold from my stang, but it will not fit a 351W its too wide. The 302 blocks are more narrow then a 351. But if you get a mustang 302 valve cover it will fit under the stock intake, as I have my stock stang ones on my truck.

Nextras, my stang is quick but not quick enough. There isnt a super yet, and the CAI is a ram air that hooks to my hood. BBK long tubes. and some other stuff. Its pritty fast for stock block, and just bolt ons.

Careful.. if you have the stock truck intake you need truck valve covers, there is no hole for the PCV valve in the car valve covers and the oil fill tube is on the wrong side. I have a set of stock mustang covers I was going to use until I realized they wouldn't fit with the stock truck intake.

Thanks everyone. The reason i ask is because there is going to be a 351W block and heads, Using the lower from a truck, and a 302 Cobra upper. Will that work? And if it does will the tall valve covers still fit under a 302 lets persay HO intake, with the spacer?

Not even close, you need the 5.8 GT40 lower for the Cobra upper. The 5.0HO upper could be used with the 5.8 truck lower if you got one of those adapters.. I have seen them on the web somewhere. BUT.. the HO intake is restrictive on the 5.0 so you're not buying anything with this swap.

Yes the stock stang ones do work, other then there is no PVC hole in it. Even if the fill tube is on the other side it still works. Here is a pic of mine, I have the truck valve cover on the passager side untill I make a hole in the stang one for the pcv.
This is the 5.0 Stang stock drivers side one, that I will be using on the passanger side as soon as I drill a hole for the PVC.

This is the Mustangs Passanger side that I have on the drivers side. Fill hole is in the back but works fine. I have a breather on the vent caus I didnt feel like making the stock one to the air box work. They got all white on me but when clean they look good.
