The passenger side isnt too bad to remove, the driver side is another story!

I was reading a broadcast message today that said they are revising the procedure for removing the right rocker cover, so as to not break the heater hose.

I was reading a broadcast message today that said they are revising the procedure for removing the right rocker cover, so as to not break the heater hose.

I got the valve cover out without draining coolant or removing the hose. The driver side, you're gonna do it. I tried not to, but there is just no way to do it without draining coolant.

vince you are lucky. i havent had a 64 to tear into yet. just one for egr valve and thats it.

had one with the 157 injector recall, and one testing for an internal fuel leak.

The most trouble I had was on the driver side. Those 4 bolts holding the turbo crossover tube on the bracket took me an hour to line up (no room to maneuver)

Drivers side is a piece of cake. I can have it off in fifteen minutes. Everything on this truck is quite simple. I actually think it's easier than the 6.0
