Personal preference I guess, would be cool to have a turbo 6 though. But yeah I'm plaining a 351 swap me own self.

IIRC there was a kid on YOUTUBE That put a single turbo on a I 6.......Ya'll don't hate on the lil I 6 just because it's straight(no pun intended)people have built the 6 up to 750 ponies to the rear wheels........there is a ton of stuff you can get for the 6...there' a site somewhere that's called cliffords...they specialize in inline sixes whether it be chevy ford or dodge.....

Good Luck with whatever you decide to do.

Wow, really awesome. Thanks man. This sounds like it might be kinda fun once I get some capital together. smiliegitrdone

Just to clarify, I still think it'd be f'n awesome if done right. I'm going single turbo on the 5.0, in time.

Awesome. Yeah it needs to be done right. So what I understand.

Single Medium Turbo
Requires computer and EFI changes
More than 4-5psi requires buildup of engine internals
Watch out for Transmission wear (rebuilt relatively recently, truck gets driven 2k mi a year...)
Do it along with other modifications such as Exhaust, internals, EFI upgrades and other components.

4-5 pounds of boost is alright but if you can run somewhere around eight you'd be happy. the I6 internals are relatively inexpensive as it is and adding a turbo on it would cause the engine to wear faster so you'd probly be better off going inside it anyways.......Ryan i also meant to include that TT kit was for a truck.....

Not to mention beefing up the internals would allow you to run a hell of alot more boost, depending on how fast you want this thing to be. :D

Oh well JR, I have different plans. :D

i have personally been researching this idea myself for the past year. i have some inof for you as soon as i find my notes. i even know what kinda truck i want it in. it will be kind of expensive but very well worth it in the end and i believe the power output was something like 600 ft/lb and around 350-400 hp. those are just guestimates though. i plan on doing this project next year hopefully.
