Trying to mount Boss V Plow to Highboy

Craigwell

The closest thing I can get for a mount is an 81-91 RT3 mount, to try and adapt for my Highboy.

Does anyone have data on the various front frame dimensions between Highboys, and the later 4x4 ford trucks?

Thanks

Sorry...don't have any comparative data, but I do know custom brackets will have to be made. I'll give my dad a call and see what he used to do. Beyond that, I'm no help. Here's a free bump.

You may want to contact Boss direct and see if they can give you any advice since they make the plows

Thanks for all the great replies.

Yes, Highboy measurement is 34" wide, whereas newer trucks are near 40.

I spoke to a Boss retailer today who stated no problem to use the 80-91 RT3 mount, with minor modifications. Pushbeam shortened.

They offer to install the unit for only a couple hundred dollars, and this is with the guy aware of the fab involved, and unconcerned about the amount of work.

They make their money off the plows, so the install is something they offer cheap.

Glad you got everything worked out. My father was a Boss man too, he has nothing but great words about them.
