Transfer Case problem?

is this a bad thing when it makes this loud of a clunk or any clunk at all? im rotating the output shaft left and right and you can hear the sound. its coming from right in the middle betwee the output and input shaft...pretty much where the camera is pointed mostly. is this a problem? should i get a new one or tear this apart?

if you figure that out outside of the website you should post it cause i think mine did that too when i did my clutch job

wear in the splines possibly. or just the freeplay allowed, if i remember right your cna do that with diffs to. IIRC

Spline play is my guess as well...

probably ok - I'd leave it if it was mine, but then again, I've never split a transmission case in half from normal driving
