Trans pan magnets

I did this awhile ago on my trucks.
if your looking for a great magnet to use for a transfer case of tranny even a rear end use harddrive magnets Ok I know what your thinking a new HDD is like 200 bucks.
but if you have any small Computer shops where you live just ask them if they have any old dead hard drives you could get they are super easy to open up and the magnets they use are wicked strong.
Be careful don't let it near your paint there is no pulling these magnets off they have to be slid off

Trans pan magnets is a good idea, though I've already got the big donut magnet inside the pan.

But yes you're right... CRAZY strong. I've injured myself several times while playing with them. Hurts like a BIOTCH when they snap shut on your fingers.

The I.T. guy at work has a lot of them in his office. Stout little things!

I usually add a drain plug the first time I drop a pan on a transmission. I think they are magnetic.

I have a magnetic drain plug for my 56 when I change the oil the next time.

I was at my friends computer shop and had one in each hand while I was talking to one of his customers about Gfx cards and unthinkingly tossed them together in one hand and wow I came really close to ruining a good pair of jeans..
That's when I had the idea of these would make a great trans magnet.
